I’ve thought a lot lately about the most common and highly debated topic discussed among pet sitters, dog walkers and other pet care businesses and that is “what is true success” in a pet care company? Some say, that if you reach the point where you can stay home and work from the office and work ON your business instead of IN your business – then this is successful business. Others argue this and argue with passion that a “sole” pet sitter, even with no staff – IS INDEED just as successful. So I am really curious about what YOU think?

I’ve enjoyed the response from those who have downloaded and explored my new E-Book ” 3 Processes For A Successful Pet Website”. A few readers had absolutely no idea just how complex the process is and can be for putting together a website and at the same time considering every aspect of its design with a purpose.

Below is an excerpt from my Ebook.

In the pet sitting industry, most of us are after more clients and that equals business growth and profit. Some pet entrepreneurs however consider themselves successful in their desired growth and profit amounts as they are. Some pet entrepreneurs have no desire to take on more clients, or have decided the income level they have reached is enough at this time. Perhaps they decided they do not want to work more, harder, and add more staff. So what would these pet entrepreneurs “purpose” be when it comes to getting ready to revamp, build, or start a new pet website? The answer for these types of pet entrepreneurs would be to create a website purpose that presents “stability” or perhaps “retention”. How on earth would you build a website based on a purpose of stability or retention you ask? The answer to this question is not a one-word answer as the complexities are too broad and wide, as diversified per client. I can however tell you this: The website would be built to give a feeling of maximum growth with good strong retention. I would encourage the client to create a “waiting list”. I would still suggest, “selling your services”. If you present your website with maximum growth and retention feelings, then you may still find calls coming in because you must be that good! I can create a big list of potential “purposes” for your pet website to give you examples, but this really has to come from you. Let me ask you a few questions instead. Is your number one purpose to get more clients? Or is your number one purpose to retain clients? Perhaps your number one purpose is to simply make a lot of money – profit, profit, and more profit. Maybe it sounds callous to say it like that, but you must be totally honest with yourself about your website purpose or you’re fooling no one but yourself and you’re not playing with the Bag Of Gold the internet has offered you to it’s fullest. Besides, who doesn’t want to make lots of profit! To read moreDownload My FREE Ebook Today!

Do you want to know what the absolute BEST thing pet sitters and dog walkers should blog about? The biggest blog tip I can give any pet sitter or dog walker when it comes to blogging is to be blogging about your daily activities that surround pet sitting and dog walking. The service you offer.  There’s nothing more attractive to a potential client then offering the “experience” of your business through visual displays of day to day happenings and events in your pet business!

As often as you can. Try not to think of it as a job, instead try to think of it as MONEY. Everything you write a post, journal or blog you are in fact creating and aligning yourself up for better EVERYTHING for your pet business website.  Better indexing, more pages indexed, the more broad range you are over the search engines, the more info about your business come up on search engines, the more you can create and position yourself as an expert, the more regard you’ will earn for your expertise, the sooner you may be found for potential clients……think positive and think of your blogging techniques as income generating.

WinkAlso, original content IS superior. It really is. Don’t copy others, do your best to authentic and write what you are knowledgeable about in your posts about pets, your pet sitting and dog walking services etc.  Do so with the intent to be a “fountain of information”, you don’t JUST need pet sitting clients, after all, the person reading your material may not have pets, but just so happen has a big Italian family who ALL have pets.

This is just one of those topics were we can really THINK OUT SIDE THE BOX.  Be BIG, be AUTHENTIC!
