Do you want to know what the absolute BEST thing pet sitters and dog walkers should blog about? The biggest blog tip I can give any pet sitter or dog walker when it comes to blogging is to be blogging about your daily activities that surround pet sitting and dog walking. The service you offer. There’s nothing more attractive to a potential client then offering the “experience” of your business through visual displays of day to day happenings and events in your pet business!
As often as you can. Try not to think of it as a job, instead try to think of it as MONEY. Everything you write a post, journal or blog you are in fact creating and aligning yourself up for better EVERYTHING for your pet business website. Better indexing, more pages indexed, the more broad range you are over the search engines, the more info about your business come up on search engines, the more you can create and position yourself as an expert, the more regard you’ will earn for your expertise, the sooner you may be found for potential clients……think positive and think of your blogging techniques as income generating.
Also, original content IS superior. It really is. Don’t copy others, do your best to authentic and write what you are knowledgeable about in your posts about pets, your pet sitting and dog walking services etc. Do so with the intent to be a “fountain of information”, you don’t JUST need pet sitting clients, after all, the person reading your material may not have pets, but just so happen has a big Italian family who ALL have pets.
This is just one of those topics were we can really THINK OUT SIDE THE BOX. Be BIG, be AUTHENTIC!
Seriously! I can tell you from my own personal perspective, that when I am reading a website, or looking at a website, if the heading doesn’t capture and captivate me, peak my interest, raise my eyebrows, make me sit up from a laying position, transform my eyes, make me feel excited….( okay that is a seriously exaggeration, but it’s working right? ) then I’m bored. Not interested and probably won’t read a darn thing on your website.
So, what do you put on your pages? Ask yourself these questions:
- WHAT DO I NEED THEM TO KNOW?
- HOW TO GET THE INFO TO THEM WITH AS LITTLE – YET POWERFUL WORDS?
- HOW CAN I CREATE URGENCY??? DID IS SAY URGENCY????
- CONVINCE THEM OF A NEED? THEY WON’T LIVE WELL WITHOUT ME AND MY SERVICES?
- WHAT I CAN DO FOR THEM
This is the most important piece of information you need under that BLASTING title! ( meant nicely of coarse ).
One last thing!
You know what else works well for helping your potential clients stay focused on your website? PICTURES. But wait!, not just any pictures, and certainly not a whole bunch of pictures. But 1 picture that clearly describes your incredible title and your fabulous little bit of info that will reel them in!
( I prefer not to use pictures at PetBiz Branding ) That is a personal choice for this website and for my own blogging purposes – but to sell the cute and fuzzies? – look out!
Have fun!
So, why is YOUR dog walking service/s better then your competitions? Providing the “Dog Walking” service to your customer/s is considered a “staple” in the pet sitting business and as we all know, it’s important to make YOUR services… whether it’s dog walking services, pet sitting services or overnights – to be DIFFERENT then your competition. You must try to find ways to add value added services to your pet services in order to make your pet business stand out and appear to be worth more. So this is a great time to focus on your services, each one individually and write about it. Brag about it and really show your pet website visitors why your pet services are better then the rest.
