I’ve enjoyed the response from those who have downloaded and explored my new E-Book ” 3 Processes For A Successful Pet Website”. A few readers had absolutely no idea just how complex the process is and can be for putting together a website and at the same time considering every aspect of its design with a purpose.
Below is an excerpt from my Ebook.
In the pet sitting industry, most of us are after more clients and that equals business growth and profit. Some pet entrepreneurs however consider themselves successful in their desired growth and profit amounts as they are. Some pet entrepreneurs have no desire to take on more clients, or have decided the income level they have reached is enough at this time. Perhaps they decided they do not want to work more, harder, and add more staff. So what would these pet entrepreneurs “purpose” be when it comes to getting ready to revamp, build, or start a new pet website? The answer for these types of pet entrepreneurs would be to create a website purpose that presents “stability” or perhaps “retention”. How on earth would you build a website based on a purpose of stability or retention you ask? The answer to this question is not a one-word answer as the complexities are too broad and wide, as diversified per client. I can however tell you this: The website would be built to give a feeling of maximum growth with good strong retention. I would encourage the client to create a “waiting list”. I would still suggest, “selling your services”. If you present your website with maximum growth and retention feelings, then you may still find calls coming in because you must be that good! I can create a big list of potential “purposes” for your pet website to give you examples, but this really has to come from you. Let me ask you a few questions instead. Is your number one purpose to get more clients? Or is your number one purpose to retain clients? Perhaps your number one purpose is to simply make a lot of money – profit, profit, and more profit. Maybe it sounds callous to say it like that, but you must be totally honest with yourself about your website purpose or you’re fooling no one but yourself and you’re not playing with the Bag Of Gold the internet has offered you to it’s fullest. Besides, who doesn’t want to make lots of profit! To read more – Download My FREE Ebook Today!

Many pet business owners who are new to (A) either blogging or (B) to using WordPress as a CMS/Pet Business Website may be unaware of the importance of using high density key words on their pages and blog posts. If you think about how Search Engine Optimization work aka SEO; search engines must be able to search for the keywords in your material that a someone has typed into a search field in a search engine. If your pet business website does not contain the keywords relevant to your website, business, topic, and posts – then it’s not likely you are going to rank well when the results show after a search has been completed.
How To Use Key Words Effectively In Your Posts/PagesLet’s use this post as an example. First, my post is about SEO TIPS, KEYWORDS, EFFECTIVE USE OF KEYWORDS, and my business is a service and information website for PET BUSINESS OWNERS, and people who want or have or need PET BUSINESS WEBSITE/S or need a PET WEBSITE DESIGNER. While I am creating my post, I want to use dense KEYWORDS that are relevant, in order to increase my rank when someone does a search on a search engine for SEO TIPS, PET BUSINESS WEBSITE, PET BUSINESS WEBSITES, PET BUSINESS WEBSITE DESIGNER, and how to increase the SEO OPTIMIZATION of a PET BUSINESS WEBSITE. Can you see the density of my keywords in caps? Now of coarse you are not going to type your post/s keywords in CAPS. That would be silly and the search engines are not going to like you more for using caps , but to make them stand for this example is a good way to show you how these keywords would be quietly but purposefully used in my posts.
You would do this for every post, and for all page content in your pages, even your categories. So keep this in mind when creating your blog posts on your pet business website and have a look at the content already on your pages within your pet business website and see if there is a creative way to insert a few more keywords.
Word of CautionWhen using keywords in your content with the intent to increase SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, you want to refrain from using short forms for words. Those who do this really miss out on some good apple pie with the search engines!
Well, you can! This is the beauty! ( yes, I screamed it out – BEAUTY!) of using a CMS (Content Management System) such as WordPress to create a fabulous functional website for your pet related business, or any business for that matter. It’s no secret that we all want to save money were we can right? Well, having your website on a CMS such as WordPress will save you MEGA dollars over the lifetime of your website and be friendly to your marketing budget. With WordPress as your CMS you will be able to create your own pages, create your own blog posts, create your own widget content, upload photos, create video’s and upload your media and even allow your potential clients and current clients to interact should you decide to keep your “comment” options on your posts.
Do you need to know anything about web design to make changes yourself?
Content, media and picture wise in the guts of your website – no. You don’t need to know how to do these things. As a client we give, share and show you tutorials – step by step so you can confidently do it on your own when YOU want it done.
Can I change the design?
We custom create 99% of our client’s website to A) either suit their current website and/or a total redesign of their website. This means that unless you know how to work with php, css and html files and how all these files work together, you will not be able to change the design itself. The solution to this – is we do offer our services as a WEBMASTER, where we make those kind of changes for you, but of course for those who want nothing to do with changes what so ever….we’re here for that too!
The most important thing you must know about CMS’s for the pet business is that…
You gain FREEDOM! You gain CONTROL! You gain ABILITY TO DO ON YOUR OWN! You gain CONFIDENCE to run your website your way! You gain OPTIONS – you can do MORE with a CMS website! You gain more SEO like ability right out of the box – as well through blogging!
There’s nothing to lose!!
NOTHING!!!
Questions?
Have you ever come across a website and you found yourself “captured and captivated” by the introduction of what the website was about? Here’s a perfect example: I was looking at You Tube videos. I came across this very intriguing, powerful, energetic, springy, full life personality talking about RAW FOODS. I know….sounds crazy -but first, I was taken by her enthusiasm. I love those type of people who SPRING off pages! Natasha is her name. After listening to her talk for about 1 minute ( because my own attention span is that long too – or can be if I’m not intrigued ) I clicked on her website. I read the WHOLE THING. I even purchased stuff the next day, I went cleared out my fridge, bought a blender, a juicer, food processor, organic vegetable and fruits, decided I’d never touch meat again………I felt a sense of URGENCY! I JUST HAD TO DO IT!.
Now, comparing Raw Vegan to websites is like comparing a Vegetable garden to a pond of wondering geese! But the point is the same. The analogy here is that – had I not been intrigued and captivated – or if this person had no idea how to create a sense of URGENCY…..I’d be still eating a regular all American/Canadian diet that most of of the population is eating. Get my point?
So how do you create URGENCY?Here is your #1 and only needed tip!
Your Website Needs To Display Your Passion!Just like Natasha’s. She truly believes that her way of eating is like angels in the sky, the greatest gift from heavens, the answer to all your problems, challenges and issues with health. Well, pet business owners, your services are a GOD SENT, LIFE SAVER, FREEDOM CREATOR, WORRY FREE LIFE – your services are NEEDED and if not today, there are things you can do prepare for when your clients do need you……get where I am going here? If not, you’ll need to wait for another episode! ( article ) You need to use YOUR belief and personality and make this truth in your website. This is where YOU must come with words and I’ll help you word it, put together…..but has to come from you!
Final thoughts: Even if the website design won an award – no matter who or how it is made – your content is just as responsible in selling your product or pet service
Your website needs to display YOUR passion… Your website needs to display YOUR passion…
( and I’m only talking about pet related services – your business! )
